The Management Committee for the NEC which was appointed in July 2019 has begun to execute its work plan and hopes to fulfil its mandate during the term of appointment. Chaired by President of the Consortium of Disability Organisations – Jacqueline Leotaud, the Committee has since developed a new vision and mission for the National Enrichment Centre as follows:
Vision
A multidisciplinary resource Centre for persons with disabilities; providing assessment, therapy and training.
Mission
To use a rights based, collaborative and professional approach in order to improve the quality of life for persons with disabilities by providing adequate and effective habilitative and rehabilitative services.
The Committee comprises government, non-governmental organizations and private sector representatives including:

- Mr. Anton La Fond, Advocate for the Elderly and Persons with Disabilities
- Ms. Crystal Jones, President, Cerebral Palsy Association
- Mr. Camille Salloum, Director, ZOOM Caribbean
- Ms. Nadira Muhammed, Founder and Principal, Inspired Minds Institute
- Ms. Sharon Rogers, Director, Disabilities Affairs Unit, Ministry of Social Development and Family Services
- Mrs. Genève Phillip-Durham, Manager, National Enrichment Centre (Ex-officio member)
- Ms. Shamla Maharaj, Administrative Officer – Scotiabank, Freelance Television Host and Inclusion Consultant
The Committee is dedicated to working in the interest of the Community of Persons with Disabilities and one of the first activities being planned for the new year, is a meeting with stakeholders. The primary aim of the meeting is to discuss the renaming of the National Enrichment Centre and also to enlighten members of the Community of Persons with Disabilities about the mandate of the Committee. The Committee looks forward to the support, participation and cooperation of all relevant NGOs. The Committee wishes all NGOs and Organizations which serve Persons with Disabilities a bright and prosperous New Year.
