Minister of National Security and Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, the Hon. Stuart Young, is in Washington, D.C. today (Tuesday 19 November, 2019) where he will participate in a roundtable on de-risking and correspondent banking relations.
The event, which is hosted by the US House Committee on Financial Services, will include legislators and bankers.
This roundtable discussion follows a meeting in September between Prime Minister Dr the Hon. Keith Rowley and US Congresswoman Maxine Waters, Chairwoman of the US House Committee on Financial Services.
Minister Young is representing Trinidad and Tobago at the meeting as part of a CARICOM delegation.
Chairman of CARICOM the Hon. Allen Chastanet, Prime Minister of Saint Lucia; the Hon. Gaston Browne, Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda and Ambassador Irwin LaRocque, Secretary-General CARICOM are among those who will also attend the meeting.
