Minister of Education the Honourable Anthony Garcia wishes to advise that following the advice of the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Office ALL SCHOOLS in Trinidad and Tobago will be CLOSED on Monday 23 rd September 2019. This advisory is in keeping with the announcement made by the Minister of National Security the Honourable Stuart Young.
The Ministry of Education will continue to assess the impact of the passage of Tropical Storm Karen on the nation's schools, through the schools' principals, School Supervision and Management Division and the Education Facilities Procurement and Planning Division.
Members of the public are advised that official correspondence on the re-opening of schools would be issued through the Ministry's social media and website and will also be released to all news outlets once assessments are completed and an official decision has been taken.
