The Office of the Prime Minister (Gender and Child Affairs) advises the public that the reports of “Five (5) residents missing from the St. Jude’s School for Girls” returned to the School.
The girls went missing on Friday August 2, 2019, around 1:00 p.m., but returned to the School around 5:30 p.m. All five girls are safe within the care of the Community Residence.
The students of the St. Jude’s School for Girls were engaged in a Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) Programme in Barataria which aims to further transform and empower our youth to improve the quality of their life by developing their self-esteem, employability, sensitivity to the natural environment and sense of national pride.
We reiterate that the students at the St. Jude’s School for Girls reported on August 4 and 5, 2019 in the media are no longer missing.
