June 28, 2016: Sporting performance is only one aspect of developing a holistic athlete.
The Division of Education, Youth Affairs and Sport is collaborating with the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee (TTOC) to host the 2016 Olympic Youth Camp from July 11-15 at Shaw Park Complex, which will guide Tobago’s young athletes in a variety of crucial areas.
Other topics are the pursuit of excellence, fair play, and respect for others. The camp will also cover doping in sport, media training, nutrition, psychology, exercise science, and song, dance and sport. It will accommodate 40 athletes, aged 11-14 years.
Registration for the camp, themed “Education, Empower, Evolve”, ends on Thursday (June 30).
